Dr. Albert Schweitzer School
This is where we teach our HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children skills they need to transform themselves out of their childhood stigma into valuable future community members.
Learning begins with us at Dr. Albert Schweitzer School
We, at Dr. Albert Schweitzer School Seme offer supportive and inspirational environments for young HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children from our community. We give our children the opportunity to acquire basic quality education, two meals a day and get involved in extra curriculum activities. We strive to build confident and creative thinkers and aim at delivering an education that is truly relevant to their future considering the fact that these HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children had a lot of stigma in their homes before joining our school. We help our young children {Nursery to Grade 9} to become living testimonies in our community that even HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children are capable of becoming important people in the society.
We are approximately 45km West of Kisumu Town near the Great Lake Victoria.

Our Curriculum Overview
We follow our government’s CBC Education curriculum for all schools in Kenya. Apart from the formal classwork, we also give our children the opportunity to participate in extra curriculum activities which give our children the opportunity to explore their talents in various fields through music, drama, ballgames, debate, athletics, fashion show among other extra curriculum activities. Through the formal education and the extra curriculum activities, we create a brighter future for every child, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
